From the Founder

How do you feel about the word “hoo-ha” in sexual health products?

Last month, I had the pleasure of attending the launch event for OLLY Canada’s line of Modern Woman supplements.

There I learned the Uniliver subsidiary faced censorship promoting its Happy Hoo-ha vaginal health supplement. The euphemism “hoo-ha” was rejected, along with the word “vagina” among many advertising bodies, said the marketing team.

You can read more about the banned ad and the event on my personal blog.

Also, stay tuned for an upcoming feature on vulvovaginal health brand Momotaro Apotheca, which takes an entirely different approach to traditional pink “feminine care” aisle product promotion.
