You may have noticed some strategically placed zeros.

Sadly, I often feel like I need to censor words, or risk being censored by algorithms and humans haphazardly applying their personal morals on acceptability.

For instance, my publicationā€™s LinkedIn page was taken down last month, but I didnā€™t get any clear answers on why. I was sent all the policies, which I read, but couldnā€™t find a specific rule I had violated.

Iā€™m not going to appeal, thankfully I still have my professional profile.

However, itā€™s good to know some folks care and want to hold social media companies accountable for transparency on their advertising and content moderation practices.

In Belgium? On March 6, Iā€™ll be speaking (virtually) at V-fest for a session on the origins and evolution of sextech.
